Mbalizi Institute of Health Sciences (MIHS) is within Mbeya Council Designated Hospital, which operates as a faith based hospital under Mbalizi Evangelistic Church, situated at Ikumbi village, Usongwe Ward in Utengule division. It is 20 km West from Mbeya City via Tunduma Road.

ADVISORY BOARD

This is the top Management organ of the Institute. The advisor Board have the responsibility to oversee the total quality management of the Institute.

•    Responsible for making sure that the Institute leadership and management run the institute according to agreed policies and guidelines.
•    Ensuring that the Institutional objectives and policies meet community needs.
•    To approve the Institution budget including income and expenditure reports.
•    Responsible for making sure that the Institute runs efficiently and effectively.
•    To approve the auditor’s report after being analyzed by the diocesan.
•    Ensure duties, responsibilities, ethical conduct and standard operating procedures are clearly defined to both staff and students.

 

QUALITY ASSUARANCE UNIT
The institute has a quality control assurance unit, headed by quality control assurance officer. The major responsibility of the quality control assurance officer is to monitor and control education activities and support systems on-going at the institute.The composition of the quality control assurance team, have to consider a wider participation of key stakeholders. There is internal members (those from the institute) and external members (those coming from outside the MIHS)
